Frequently Asked Questions
We are a mobile veterinary service bringing high-quality care directly to your doorstep. While our medical fees are comparable to traditional clinics, we apply a House Call fee to cover the convenience of traveling to your location.
Booking & Arrival
To Schedule: Request an appointment online. You will be guided through a quick registration for you and your pet. We will contact you to finalize your pet's personalized care visit.
Medical Records: Please send all medical and vaccination records to coventrymobilevets@gmail.com prior to your pet's appointment
On the Day: We’ll text you an ETA when we are headed your way. Once we pull into your driveway, we’ll send a final "we have arrived" text to let you know we’re ready.
The Appointment
All exams take place inside our fully-equipped mobile van. To keep things safe and smooth, please bring dogs on a leash and cats in a carrier. We love using treats to ensure a stress-free experience. Feel free to bring your pet's favorites or use some of ours!
Preparation Checklist
Annual Wellness Visits: Please have a fresh stool sample from your pet.
Sick Visits: Be ready to provide a detailed history of your pet's symptoms, timeline of sickness, and your concerns. If your dog has any urinary problems, please catch a fresh urine sample ahead of time for testing.
We want this to be a low-stress experience for everyone. Here is how you can help:
For Cats: If your cat is shy, please keep them in a small, enclosed space (like a bathroom) before we arrive so they are easy to locate and can be placed in a carrier.
For Dogs: If your dog is prone to nervousness or aggression, we recommend muzzle training. Resources like "The Muzzle Up! Project" can help make a muzzle a positive, stress-reducing tool for your dog.
Important Note: Pets must be able to be examined safely at the time of the visit. If an exam and care cannot be completed, the doctor may recommend sedating your pet or rescheduling the visit. A travel and consultation fee will still be charged even if no exam can be performed.
If an appointment needs to be rescheduled, the doctor will prescribe anxiety-reducing medications to be given at home the night before and at least 2 hours prior to the next visit.
Yes! We’re happy to see multiple pets from the same household during a single visit. To schedule, request an appointment online for one of your pets. In the Remarks section, let us know that you’d like us to examine your other pets as well, and include each pet’s name. Depending on the number of pets and the type of care they need, we may need to adjust your appointment time or date to ensure we have enough time to provide each pet with the attention they deserve. If any changes are needed, we’ll contact you to confirm the details of your appointment.
